OB's is one of Oakland's last best kept secrets. Mainly Southern cuisine, but the big guy behind the counter can pretty much whip up anything you want. The Charleston is a winner. I'd never had smothered potatoes -- let me tell you, my taste buds were smothered. Finally, if you don't want to break the bank, try the Monte Cristo Sandwich, which is just excellent. Warning: you are there for the food, show respect and respect will be shown. It's a one man show, but one you will want to keep coming back to.
